Trust Your Instincts
Usually your first impression is the correct one! Just like a blind date, you kind of just know whether you like them or not. Same runs true for pieces in your home, don’t force it. You’ll know right away whether it’s love at first sight.
If You Love It, Keep It
There is no rule saying you must throw out everything you have and start over. When redesigning, keep pieces that you love and get rid of the rest. It’s the Marie Kondo effect. You can incorporate those pieces into other areas in the home or design around them.
Simplicity is Key
Clean lines and minimal clutter is our new design motto over here. Which essentially means less junk and more purpose. We’ve learned to minimize the things we have and put those things in a specific place. That’s also true for the kiddos toys, books and clothes too!
