Southern Baked Mac & Cheese

We still can’t believe it’s almost that time of year again! Our favorite time of year (besides summer) is Holiday Time! And that can only mean one thing, it’s time to eat some good food, comfort food, make you mad you don’t live with your mama food! These are your comfort loving, lick your finger, there better be left overs – type of recipes! We have perfected this Baked Mac and Cheese dish over time and are so excited for you to try it! It’s the perfect mix of cheese, butter and flavor in each bite.

Southern Baked Mac & Cheese

Prep Time 20 minutes
Cook Time 35 minutes
Total Time 55 minutes
Servings 8 people

Ingredients

  • 2 Lbs. Cooked Macaroni Aldente
  • 2 Sticks of Melted Butter
  • 2 Cups Milk
  • 2 Large Eggs
  • ½ Cup Sour Cream
  • 1 Tsp. Garlic
  • 1 Tsp. Pepper
  • 1 Tsp. Seasoned Salt
  • 1 Tsp. Salt
  • 1 Cup Cheddar
  • 1 Cup Sharp Cheddar
  • 1 Cup Colby Cheese
  • 1 Cup Monterey Jack
  • 1 Cup Cubed Munster

Instructions

  • Add the cooked macaroni (aldente) into a large bowl
  • Add one stick of melted butter into macaroni & mix
  • In a separate bowl combine the milk, eggs, sour cream
  • Add spices into the egg mixture & combine
  • Add the buttered macaroni to the egg mixture & combine
  • Butter the bottom of your baking dish
  • Pour the macaroni mixture into the baking dish evenly
  • Top with extra mixed cheese
  • Add cubed butter to the top of macaroni & cheese in the baking dish
  • Heat oven at 350 degrees & the cook macaroni & cheese for 35 mins (or until golden brown)
