Can you tell us a secret no one would guess about you?
I have a webbed toe! People have asked me why I never got it fixed and I secretly think it’s my good luck charm. It’s important to have something a bit askew about you. Perfection is boring.
One meal you could eat everyday?
Grilled cheese and tomato soup. It is one of the first things I learned to make as a kid, and it always hits!
One vice you wont give up?
Curse words. I have such a foul mouth and I think cursing is a perfectly acceptable form of expression.
Late riser or early bird?
Both. Even though the baby sleeps for 12hrs every night, I still only get about 5hrs of sleep. I find myself futzing and researching and responding to emails or watching tv. Before I know it, it’s 1am and the baby will be up again in 4hrs.
Morning routine you swear by?
Showering. No matter how late I’m running I have to begin and end the day with a scalding hot shower.
One day I hope…
to be grateful for the things I have and not constantly be a slave to wanting more.
More the merrier or less is more?
The more the merrier! I’m from The South where if you invite 10, you cook for 20, because people always bring a friend and take a plate home. I grew up in a very lively, very boisterous house where the guest bedroom had a constant rotation of friends and family passing through. Our home is the same, and I like it that way.

Currently obsessed with the LA-based Black-owned brand Harbison. Their focus is on sustainability, inclusivity and innovation, so aside from their mission being aligned with mine, the clothes are just drop dead gorgeous.
On the horizon: what’s coming soon?
I had a baby this summer and so the last few months have been concentrated on keeping this tiny human alive. But now that we’ve found our groove, I’m more jazzed than ever to return to work. I’m passionate about acting and excited to see how becoming a mother will influence my life as an artist.
