Bake your cornbread according to the instructions on the package.
While the cornbread is baking in the oven, prep all of the fresh ingredients: apples, celery, onion, fresh herbs etc.
Once the cornbread has cooled, crumble it and set aside.
Take the chicken sausage out of it’s casing, chop or crumble it down.
In a cast iron skillet, brown the chicken sausage with extra virgin olive oil, once fully cooked remove from the skillet and set aside.
In the same cast iron skillet, sauté the vegetables and apples in the remaining extra virgin olive oil until softened.
In a large bowl, combine the following: cornbread crumbles, chicken sausage, vegetables, apples, fresh herbs, spices, melted butter and chicken broth.
In a well oiled cast iron skillet, pour the combined mixture in and bake at 375 degrees for about 40 minutes.
