Pre-heat oven to 425 degrees.
Whisk together the sugar, cinnamon, salt, and egg yolks.
Add the vanilla extract & melted butter to the egg mixture & whisk.
Add the milk into the egg mixture & combine.
Slice your challah bread into even slices & get ready to dip each side!
Once all bread slices have been dipped, transfer to a heated & coated cast iron skillet & begin cooking each side until golden.
Lay the french toast flat in the cast iron skillet and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
Top with berries and maple syrup.
