Spicy Shrimp Tacos & Avocado Crema
Ingredients
- 1 lb Shrimp peeled, deveined
- 1 head of Purple cabbage for slaw
- Corn or flour tortillas
- Lime wedges topping
Shrimp Batter Ingredients:
- ½ cup Yellow cornmeal
- ½ cup Yellow flour
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- Tajin to taste
- Garlic granules to taste
- Hungarian paprika to taste
- Red pepper flakes to taste
- Dried oregano to taste
- Chili powder to taste
Avocado Crema Ingredients:
- 1 Avocado
- ½ cup Plain Greek yogurt
- 1 Jalapeño removed seeds
- ½ cup Cilantro
- 3 Garlic cloves
- 2 Limes juiced
- 3 tbsp Avocado oil
- ½ tbsp Salt
- 3 tbsp Water
Instructions
- Prep the shrimp
- Mix the shrimp marinade ingredients together on a large plate.
- Add the prepped shrimp to the dry batter, mix with clean hands until all shrimp are fully coated in the spicy batter.
- Cook marinated shrimp in a cast iron skillet for 4-6 minutes on each side until golden brown
Avocado Crema Instructions:
- Puree all of the ingredients in a food processor. Store in the refrigerator until you are ready to serve.
