The Cool Mom Co. asked a few of our fave cool mamas about how they spend their own ‘Mama-Free Me Moment’. Otherwise known as the much needed, and well deserved ALONE TIME away from those busy schedules. Sometimes finding the time for self-care and the daily life of motherhood just don’t align. When we can find those spare moments to slow down and relax, we allow our bodies and minds to recover and rejuvenate. Here’s how some of our cool mamas choose to spend their moments alone. Take notes and feel free to apply to your daily lives!

“I spend my alone time doing a wide range of things lol. It depends on what I need that day. It could be a solo date at a cute cafe/location to work on personal goals, could be working out without watching the clock, could be cleaning without my boys tugging on my limbs, lol. Sometimes I’ll just watch a good movie. Truly depends on where I am at the moment I get the time alone.”

“I get my ‘mama-free me moment’ through exercising! It is my escape from everything. Now that my children are in school, I can reserve an hour to focus on me only.”
Edie Horstman
“My ‘mama-free me moment’ is typically spent strengthening my body (exercise), my mind (reading / writing), or my soul (sitting in our backyard doing nothing at all)”

I prioritize me time, I get my nails or hair done. I might cuddle up and binge watch TV. And if I really have time its planning activities and outfits or home decor. I love to read and write in my journal. Writing this list makes me wish I had more time!
