Can you tell us a secret no one would guess about you?
Most people perceive me as an extrovert, especially since I share so much of my life on social media. However, the reality is that I’m actually a huge introvert at heart. My true source of energy comes from being at home, indulging in personal time, or spending quality moments with my family. It’s my sanctuary away from the spotlight.
One meal you could eat everyday?
Growing up in Singapore, I developed a deep love for Asian food, and my all-time favorite is Singapore roasted chicken rice with its special garlic chili sauce. While it’s hard to find that here, I’ve found a close second in Thai chicken rice, or Khao man Gai. Another indulgence I absolutely can’t resist is my husband’s perfectly cooked steak. It’s a true chef’s kiss.
One vice you wont give up?
Dipping my spoon into Jeni’s darkest chocolate ice cream. I am a total sweet tooth. I need to have something sweet every night before I sleep even if it’s just a spoon.
Late riser or early bird?
My soul leans towards being a late riser. I absolutely love sleeping in, but since having my daughter, it’s become a bit more challenging.
Morning routine you swear by?
I take my mornings really slow. My morning routine starts with just waking up and doing nothing for a few minutes. I prefer to let my body and mind ease into the active zone gradually.
One day I hope…
I dream of a day when my daughter can thrive in a world that’s defined by fairness, safety, and abundant equal opportunities. No parent should have to carry the fear of uncertainty about their child’s future in this world.
More the merrier or less is more?
Neither. I’ve always believed in the power of balance. Depending on the situation, I choose either “more” or “less” to find that equilibrium.

I’m in awe of what Melanie Parker has achieved in the tech space with Canva; it’s a true powerhouse. In terms of apparel, I might be biased, but I’m obsessed with our loungewear brand, Monday Chill, for its fun and eco-friendly approach. My co-founder and I have poured our hearts and souls into it. Additionally, the sustainability-focused ethos of Cuyana and Reformation truly resonates with me. In the realm of skincare and makeup, brands like Fenty and Rare Beauty have made a significant impact, especially in catering to women of color and ensuring inclusivity with their shade ranges. Being a marketer myself, I also appreciate brands that have excelled in marketing and growth, and Skims has been truly outstanding in that regard.
On the horizon: what’s coming soon?
Monday Chill is stepping into the world of retail, and we’re thrilled about it. We’re also diving into some significant upcoming markets and projects. But what really has us pumped is our upcoming collection bursting with fresh colors and designs. Our goal? To make sustainability easy and affordable for everyone. On a personal note, my daughter is starting preschool soon, and it’s a big moment for our family. We’re a mix of nerves and excitement at home, just like any other family in our shoes.
