Less Stress, More Style: How Lizzy Transformed Her Home with this One Framing Hack

There’s something powerful about the way art can transform a space. It brings personality, warmth, and meaning to your walls, turning a blank room into something that actually feels lived in. But let’s be honest: figuring out what to hang, where to put it, and how to frame it all can feel like just another project on the never-ending to-do list.

If you’ve been meaning to get those family photos off your phone or hang that special piece you’ve had tucked away for years, you’re not alone. It took me a while too but once I found a few simple tips (and a major shortcut with framing), everything finally came together.

The Shortcut That Made It Easy: Framebridge

Recently, I used Framebridge to frame a bunch of pieces that had been living in folders and junk drawers for way too long: kid art, family photos, a few digital files that I found on Etsy that made me smile. The process was super simple: I uploaded files, chose a style, and they handled the rest. No measuring. No guessing. No waiting in line.

The site helped me pick frames and sizes based on the room, and everything arrived ready to hang. It was one of the few “home projects” I’ve done that didn’t have me questioning the process.

Here’s How I Styled It, Room By Room:

Kids’ Rooms:

I picked bright, playful prints that reflect who my kids are right now: one’s obsessed with ramen, another with shoes. Walking into their rooms feels like stepping into their personalities.

Bonus: framed art somehow makes the messy room feel less chaotic (mom magic?).

Primary Bedroom:

For our bedroom, I went with pieces that feel peaceful but powerful. A soft, empowering female essence. A print I’ve loved for years but never got around to framing. It’s subtle, but it shifts the mood in the room.

Dining Area:

We hung an abstract piece with a bold pop of yellow, my mom’s favorite color. It adds warmth and light to the space where we spend the most time as a family. The kitchen is my happy place, and this piece brings thought & joy to the room.

Home Office:

I added prints that keep me grounded on the wildest workdays. Some days I’m bouncing between Zoom calls, emails, and after-school snacks, so it’s nice to have a space that feels like it has roots.

Design Doesn’t Have to Be Fancy to Feel Good

At the end of the day, your home doesn’t have to look like a showroom. It just has to feel like you. Sometimes that’s a perfectly styled nook, and sometimes it’s a gallery wall that makes you smile when you walk by with a basket of laundry.

If you have art, memories, or even a handwritten note tucked away somewhere: frame it. Hang it. Let it live in your home. Because the pieces that mean the most deserve more than just a spot in the “someday” pile.

Framebridge made that part easy for me, and it might just be the little shift your home is waiting for, too.

xo, Lizzy
