Anyone who knows us knows that we are totally all about that museum life! Well that and a great play space; definitely count us in. We finally had a chance to make our way over to Discovery Cube in Los Angeles and I must say we were not disappointed.
From the Discovery Market to Race to Zero Waste, this science center touches on practical applications for young minds. Our favorite was the Inspector Training Course, where we were given a tablet to answer questions and become real life inspectors. We followed the map and walked through a realistic Californian home on our very own scavenger hunt. Of course my 3 year old thought this was cool since she was able to hold the tablet and “play”. There is also a Planetary Research Station for space enthusiasts, Storyland for younger tots (my 1 year old roamed free and loved climbing on all of the story book displays) and Science of Hockey for all the young LA Kings fans, where you can walk through the “Kings” locker room (seen above, I couldn’t resist). The museum is new and they are still working out a few kinks but there is definitely entertainment for all age groups.
If you are in LA, be sure to check it out. Any suggestions of other cool museums we should check out?
