Last weekend I was lucky enough to have a girls getaway to Palm Springs.  It’s always nice to be able to stop and recharge every once in awhile.  I helped my bestie bring in her birthday with girl talk, pool time and tons of food!  While I was missing my little lady like crazy (what did we do before Face Time?), it was nice to step away from the MAMA role and just be a girl again!

We stayed at the Parker Palm Springs and enjoyed all they had to offer.  Whenever I think of Palm Springs, the Parker immediately comes to mind.  It is a Jonathan Adler designed landmark which sits on 13 acres of sprawled out relaxation.  Go right and you may find the fire pit with butterfly chairs.  Turn left and you may be delighted to see hammocks waiting for you to lounge in. Go straight and you may run into one of the two pools at the resort, one of which features chlorine free salt water.  At every turn there is another nook for you to enjoy amidst tons of greenery.  And don’t forget my favorite: the spa, PSYC.  Members of the hotel don’t need a treatment to enjoy the indoor spa pool and two whirlpools that sit inside this beautifully designed yacht themed oasis.  It was a nice escape from the heat during the high point of the day.

Note to Mamas: I think this would be an amazing place to bring my little one on a quick trip. Plenty of grass and areas for her to explore and a family friendly pool to enjoy.  Norma’s Restaurant seems very kid-friendly as well and tiny ones will love the lemonade stand at the back of the property.

With all that said, this place is no secret.  It’s best to try and go during the week or off peak times, if possible.  It can get pretty crowded but that’s great if you love to people watch!  Are there any other Palm Spring hotels you love?
