Let’s do a Spring Eco Clean before summer hits. Rewind five years, before I was married and had no child while living in New York with not a care in the world. The last thing I cared about or even thought about were eco-friendly cleaning products. Let’s just say a lot has changed since then. Now, I am very aware of the type of products I use in our home. I don’t like to waste time thinking about “Am I harming my family while trying to clean up behind them?” Don’t get me wrong, there are a few products that are still tried and true for me (like bleach) but for the most part, especially in the kitchen around our food, I try to use products that aren’t toxic and therefore better for our health and the environment, which equals less stress for me! When in doubt lemons always clean the craziest things but here are a few of my faves off the shelf:
- Seventh Generation is one of my favorite brands. I have used a lot of their baby products as well, from diapers to baby detergent. Above is the Natural Hand Wash, Disinfecting Wipes and the Natural Dish Liquid all free of harsh scents and chemicals.
- Green Works is a brand by Clorox which is not 100% natural but very close and also has a pleasant scent.
- Dapple is our choice for all of the little one’s dishes and cups. It doesn’t leave a soapy residue or irritating fragrance and is super safe for baby.
